An incline plane is a slanted surface connected to a lower level to a higher level. It's endpoints are in different heights. By moving an object on an inclined plane, the amount of force requires is reduced. An incline plane provides a mechanical advantage.
The inclined plane does not move. The devices of an inclined plane allow less force to achieve a task. Ramps are one of the main inclined plane devices. Ramps allow you to get to heights that would be too challenging to get to vertically. Ramps allow heavy weights get from a lower level to a higher level. Ramps can also be portable. The ramps used on the end of moving trucks so they can move furniture to and from the trucks safely.
In our project we used an inclined plane by using a ramp. The marble is set on the ramp, and so it goes down.
